VERICOM – wireless M-BUS (EN13757)

Wireless M-BUS drive-by / walk-by solution

VERICOM – Wireless M-BUS Solution (169 or 868 MHz)

With wireless M-BUS drive-by/walk-by remote reading, you can easily read the meters directly out from your car.

VERICOM wireless M-BUS radio nodes will transmit telegrams according to European Norm EN 13757 at ISM-bandwidth 169 or 868 MHz.

All you need to receive the telegrams is a wireless M-BUS telegram concentrator in your car and/or hands.

The data from different wireless M-BUS radio nodes will be received automatically while you drive-by, if the wireless M-BUS telegrams can reach the street side respectively your car.

How it works?

Functionality of wireless M-BUS technology.

VERICOM wireless M-BUS radio nodes send meter data telegrams at selectable free SubGHz bandwidths (868 MHz or 169 MHz) in time intervals specified in the wM-Bus regulation (EN13757 – normally every 8/16 seconds).

The remote reading device automatically collects all readings from nearby meters equipped with wireless M-BUS radio node.
The system can read more than a thousand meters per hour, if the meter’s telegram is reaching the street-side at exactly the time, the car drives-by.

VERICOM wireless M-BUS solution does consist of:

  • VERICOM wireless M-BUS radio nodes
  • VERICOM wireless M-BUS data-collector

How to connect to external device (meter) ?
meter-Independent

VERICOM wireless M-BUS solution is meter independent, therefor each radio node is able to read-out any implemented meter make or meter type.

VERICOM solution does offer lots of hardware interfaces to connect to external devices, such as:

  • pulses / S0 / reed-contact
  • absolute encoder SCR/SCR+
  • M-BUS Master
  • M-BUS Slave
  • M-BUS (TTL)
  • serial communication RS232
  • serial communication RS485
  • analogue signal (0-3/10V;0-20mA)
  • temperatursensor PT 1000
  • optical OCR-interface
  • proprietory hardware & protocol
