UGSM is a domestic, residential gas meter with newest ultrasonic technology and highest accuracy.
The electronic ultrasonic gas meter will be available for small gas meters (G4,G6) with remote output interface to receive digital meter index.

The gas meter is right now in various certification processes and is sheduled to be MID certified for Europe by mid 2018.
How it works?
Transit time ultrasonic flowmeters send and receive ultrasonic waves between transducers in both the upstream and downstream directions in the pipe.
At no flow conditions, it takes the same time to travel upstream and downstream between the transducers. Under flowing conditions, the upstream wave travels slower and take more time than the (faster) downstream wave. When the medium moves faster, the difference between the upstream and downstream times increases.
The transmitter processes upstream and downstream times to determine the flow rate, during measurement temperature and pressure are logged continually.
Advantage over microthermal gas meter is, that during the ultrasonic measurement, there is no touch to the gas, no pressure loss, no corrosion, etc.
